Welcome to HATNZ International Correspondence Child Care course! Established since 1996, our courses are proving very popular and meeting the needs of people interested in a career with children.

The courses are catering for people wanting to travel and work as a Nanny/Au Pair.

The writers of the course Dianne, Gail, Mary, Jo and myself have combined expertise in all areas of childcare including newborns and special needs.

The Maternity course is for people wanting to specialise in the care of newborns and young babies.

There is a special market in the UK and Europe for people with this training, and the remuneration is more than that for regular nanny positions.

I completed both the HATNZ Correspondence Course and the HATNZ Correspondence Maternity Course. I found both courses to be informative, interesting and practical. The courses both complemented my full-time work as a nanny and childcare provider, both in New Zealand and in the United States where I care for two primary school aged children and one pre-teen. I found the nutrition and behaviour sections to be most interesting and helpful - I've apply this knowledge in every day situations. The maternity course was very informative, particularly the sections on immunisation, cot death, establishing routines and health and safety.
Both courses were not only interesting but also fun and enjoyable to complete. I would recommend these courses to anyone wishing to work in the child care field, parents-to-be or to anyone just wishing to learn more about child care.
